Tradecoast Central required extra valves & connection points to an existing 400mm OD – PE potable water supply & recycled water supply.
Due to time constraints, shut down times, working environment & presence of water in the pipeline the need for mechanical PE restraint couplings arose due to the impractical and near impossible use of electro-fusion couplings on this project beacuse of reasons mentioned above. So far 8 x 400mm System 2000 flange adaptors have been installed with another 20-40 possibly required in the coming months.
The asset owner & installing contractor are extremely pleased with the ease of installation and reliability of the flange adaptors that have saved businesses in the area long delays without their water supply during the variation.
